Owner's Guide
Afghans look lovely when fully groomed, but it can take a long time every day to look after their coats. These elegant, independent dogs need regular energetic runs in a safe area.
Originally bred for chasing large game such as deer and leopard by running ahead of hunters.

Prone to running away to chase other animals when off lead.
Daily care of the coat is needed to keep it in good condition, and de-tangling takes time.
