Owner's Guide
Gentle, good-natured, affectionate Black and Tan Coonhounds are easy-going in the house. Outside they are independent, scent-orientated hunters and need long lead walks or a safe area where they can run free.
Originally bred to 'tree' raccoons or opossum until the hunter could catch up on foot.

This hound is very interested in scents and hunting.

High. Needs plenty of long walks, but little exercise at home.
