Owner's Guide

Sweet-natured and affectionate, Border Terriers can be happy lying beside the fire or going out all day on long walks. Alert and playful, they are usually friendly and easy going with strangers and other dogs, and are also good watchdogs, without excessive barking.

Originally bred to hunt and kill rats and to dig foxes from lairs.
