Nova Scotia Duck-tolling Retrievers were bred to lure ducks towards the hunts by leaping and playing by the water's edge, and then to retrieve them once shot. Energetic and playful, they need plenty of activity to keep them well exercised.
Originally bred to act as a decoy and to retrieve waterfowl.
