Owner's Guide
Bred to live in cold climates and herd reindeers, Samoyeds have thick coats that need a great deal of brushing and that can cause them to overheat in summer. Good-natured and affectionate, they are also independent and not necessarily responsive to requests.
Originally bred to herd and guard reindeer herds.
