Q: I have a Newfoundland dog, he is 110 pounds and is really picky with dog food. He's two years old this month, when will he be fully grown?
A: A Newfoundland pup should be fully grown by the time he is 18 months old. Between 18 and 24 months he may still gain a little more body fat, but skeletal growth should finish by 18 months.
It sounds like your dog should have finished growing by now, as he is almost 24 months old. 110 pounds is a little on the small side for a Newfoundland, but within any breed there will be dogs who are smaller (or larger!) than the average, so this may still be a normal weight for him.
I would suggest taking him in to see your vet. They can check if he is a good weight for his size, and if he underweight they will be able to discuss with you possible reasons for that. This could be something as simple as a broken tooth that causes him trouble with eating, or a more serious problem interfering with his metabolism (for example, poorly functioning pancreas, or kidney disease).
