DFS Crufts 2010: The World's Most Amazing Dog Show
One of the largest and most well-known dog shows in the world will take place at the beginning of March at the NEC in Birmingham. The show features the most diverse range of breeds seen at any dog show, with many happy and proud dogs in attendance.
The show features a number of competitions including the International Agility Championships and the Friends for Life contest, which presents many stories of how far dogs can go for their owners and why they carry the name of man's best friend.
DFS Crufts showcases the amazing bond that forms between a dog and its owner, with various events that portray the vital role dogs play in society today, from simple companions to many feats of bravery such as police dogs. It is quite amazing to realise how much we rely on dogs and how pivotal their role is in our daily lives, even if we do not have one of our own. From rescue operations, to police work and security, dogs are much more than man's best friend, they are an integral part of our society on which we have become quite reliant without realising their importance.
This dog show gives visitors the opportunity to discover a wide range of breeds from up close and the Discover Dogs area gives them the opportunity to find out more about a type of dog they might like to buy. It is a great opportunity for people to find the perfect companion as there is no other place where one can come in such close contact with so many dogs. There will also be a section where visitors can learn more about all the wonderful work breed rescue volunteers do in saving unwanted and abandoned dogs by making sure a good home is found for them.
This dog show is a way for many to deliver a very important message, that dogs should be cared for and loved. The health and welfare of all dogs is the main concern of the Kennel Club, the organiser of the show, and this is the best way for this message to be delivered to as many people as possible. DFS Crufts brings visitors into contact with their Accredited Breeders who focus on the health and welfare of the puppies above all else.
